Zootopia 2 (2025)

(CASTELLANO) Zootopia 2 tenía un reto enorme: no solo continuar una película excelente, sino justificar su propia existencia. Y lo cierto es que lo consigue en buena medida. No reinventa la fórmula, pero entiende qué hacía especial a la original y decide no romperlo. Desde el principio se percibe el mismo dinamismo entre Judy y Nick. La química sigue intacta y la estructura de investigación vuelve a funcionar como motor narrativo. Hay persecuciones, humor físico y diálogos rápidos, pero también espacio para pequeños momentos de carácter que refuerzan su relación. No todo tiene el impacto de la primera vez, pero el engranaje está bien engrasado. Visualmente, el mundo vuelve a impresionar. La expansión de la ciudad y los nuevos entornos mantienen ese nivel de detalle minucioso que convirtió a la primera en una referencia técnica. La animación tiene soltura, color y ritmo. Se nota que Disney no ha escatimado en ambición estética. Donde quizá se percibe cierta irregularidad es en el equilibrio entre comedia y discurso social. Intenta tocar temas relevantes y ampliar su comentario sobre convivencia y prejuicios, pero no siempre alcanza la misma precisión que la original. A ratos parece más segura en la acción que en la reflexión. Aun así, es una secuela sólida. No es rompedoramente nueva ni supera claramente a su predecesora, pero tampoco la traiciona. Mantiene el espíritu, entrega entretenimiento de calidad y deja la sensación de que este universo aún tiene recorrido. Zootopia 2 no es un salto histórico en la animación, pero sí una continuación muy disfrutable que demuestra que la ciudad todavía tiene historias que contar. (ENGLISH) Zootopia 2 faced a huge challenge: not only continuing an excellent film, but justifying its own existence. And it largely succeeds. It doesn’t reinvent the formula, but it understands what made the original special and wisely chooses not to break it. From the beginning, the dynamic between Judy and Nick feels intact. Their chemistry remains strong, and the investigative structure once again drives the narrative. There are chases, physical comedy, and sharp dialogue, but also quieter character moments that reinforce their bond. Not everything lands with the same impact as the first time, yet the machinery runs smoothly. Visually, the world impresses again. The expanded city and new settings maintain the meticulous detail that made the first film a technical benchmark. The animation feels fluid, colorful, and energetic. Disney clearly invested in visual ambition. Where some unevenness appears is in the balance between comedy and social commentary. It attempts to broaden its message about coexistence and prejudice, but it doesn’t always reach the same precision as its predecessor. At times it feels more confident in action than in reflection. Still, it is a solid sequel. It isn’t groundbreaking nor clearly superior to the original, but it doesn’t betray it either. It preserves the spirit, delivers quality entertainment, and suggests that this universe still has stories to tell. Zootopia 2 isn’t a historic leap in animation, but it is a very enjoyable continuation that proves the city still has life.
