Sinopsis:
En esta secuela, los recién casados, Marcus y Emily, invitan a los también recién casados y ahora padres, Ron y Kyla, a unas vacaciones en un hotel en el Caribe, en dónde Marcus tiene planeado encontrarse con los dueños, para acordar la construcción de un hotel en Chicago. Pero cuando la fiesta inicia, las vacaciones relajantes, rápidamente se convierten en una loca aventura.
Los recién casados Marcus y Emily invitan a los padres primerizos Ron y Kyla a sus vacaciones en un resort donde Marcus tiene una reunión empresarial con un posible cliente. Pero cuando el padre exconvicto de Kyla aparece por sorpresa, la cosa se pone salvaje.
Newly married Marcus and Emily invite Ron and Kyla, who are also newly married with a baby, to join them at a Caribbean resort, where Marcus is meeting with the owners about a construction contract for a Chicago hotel. But when the party begins the couples' relaxing vacation quickly becomes a wild adventure.

(CASTELLANO) La primera entrega no era ninguna joya, pero tenía cierta chispa y un John Cena que se comía la pantalla. En esta secuela, la fórmula se repite con las mismas bromas, los mismos enredos y la novedad de sumar a Steve Buscemi al grupo. Sobre el papel parecía un buen añadido, pero la realidad es que apenas aporta algo que renueve la dinámica. La química entre los protagonistas sigue estando ahí, sobre todo en las escenas que comparten Cena y Lil Rel Howery, pero la historia se siente mucho más forzada. Donde antes había un ritmo ligero, aquí la película se alarga con situaciones repetitivas que hacen que el humor pierda fuerza demasiado pronto. El guion tira de los mismos recursos sin encontrar una manera nueva de sorprender. Es como revisitar un chiste que ya te hizo gracia una vez, pero que contado de nuevo pierde la gracia. El intento de exagerar las situaciones acaba siendo contraproducente: lo que debería ser gamberro resulta agotador. Aun con todo, hay momentos que arrancan alguna carcajada y es cierto que la energía del reparto evita que el desastre sea mayor. El problema es que el encanto original se ha diluido y lo que queda es una secuela innecesaria, que no logra justificar su existencia más allá de estirar una idea que ya estaba agotada. “Amigos pasajeros 2” entretiene a ratos, pero se hace pesada y confirma lo que suele pasar con este tipo de comedias: cuando intentan repetir la fórmula sin aportar nada nuevo, lo único que consiguen es un resultado más flojo que el original.
